Unlike synthetic paints, lacquer is tremendously\n\t\t\tdurable,\n\t\t\twith lacquer products from 1,000 years ago still preserved to this day. The ‘three-dimensional’, ‘moist’, and\n\t\t\t‘deep’\n\t\t\tproperties of its texture also make it completely unique. Lacquer is additionally considered a good-luck charm for\n\t\t\tprotection, as its ingredients are said to keep insects at bay, and in recent years the antibacterial properties\n\t\t\tof\n\t\t\tlacquer have also garnered interest. The gold and silver\n\t\t\t\toverlay is\n\t\t\t\tthen further embellished with a final silver finish, to give the pure gold shimmer an even greater\n\t\t\t\temphasis.\u003cbr\u003eThe gold and silver powder is known as “round powder”, since it is made by grinding down a block of\n\t\t\t\tmetal to a fine\n\t\t\t\tpowder using a file, and then rounding it to create a spherical shape. In\n\t\t\tancient\n\t\t\ttimes, this color could only be used by individuals of high rank, as the pigment used to make vermilion
