Originally designed with a longer strap so it could be worn over military uniforms, the NATO belt carries a strong military image rooted in its history. Knot reconsiders this background to propose a new standard for the NATO strap – one suited not only to casual wear, but also to business settings and a wide range of wearers.
Oil-Rich “Jeans” Leather with a Refined Sheen
The strap is made from “Jeans,” one of the softer leathers in the Tochigi Leather range. Richly infused with oil, it has a natural luster and gradually conforms to the wrist with wear. Its flexibility helps reduce the tendency of the leather around the watch head to lift away from the wrist, allowing for a cleaner fit – even on slimmer wrists.
Square Metal Loops for a Sharper Impression
The square-shaped metal loops give the strap a clean, sharp appearance. Easy to coordinate for business settings as well as everyday styling, this is Knot’s vision of a new standard in NATO straps.

Handcraft

From cutting the leather to finishing the edges and machine-stitching the side seams, each strap is handcrafted by skilled artisans specializing in watch straps. The reverse side is also made from vegetable-tanned nume leather, resulting in a piece of exceptional quality.
